Dr. Howard Stein

Dr. Howard E. Stein is a board certified optometrist who is DPA and TPA licensed to use diagnostic and therapeutic medications. Dr. Stein graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1959. He is a member of the South Bay Optometric Society, the California Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, and the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Stein was chosen as a Centennial Honoree by the Southern California College of Optometry. This honor was conferred upon 100 of the optometrists who contributed to the field of Optometry and Southern California College of Optometry between the years 1904-2004. Dr. Stein is a benefactor for the Stein Contact Lens and Cornea Clinic at Southern California College of Optometry.



Dr. Tracy Kawamura

Dr. Tracy Kawamura is a board-certified optometrist who is DPA and TPA licensed to use diagnostic and therapeutic medications. She is also DEA certified to prescribe medications for the treatment of ocular pathology. Dr. Kawamura graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1991 and has been in practice at Stein Optometric Center for fifteen years. She earned her undergraduate degree at California State University, Hayward with a major in biology and a minor in English. She was awarded “Most Outstanding Biology Student” at CSUH in 1987 and is also a published poet. Dr. Kawamura currently resides in Manhattan Beach.



Dr. Ella Harootoonian

Dr. Ella Harootoonian is a board-certified DPA, TPA and DEA licensed optometrist, who is professionally trained in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She has been working in the optometric field for over 15 years. Her passion for Optometry began at the young age of 19 when she started off as an optometric-technician, and later became an optometrist. She earned her Doctorate degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1997, and her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in 1993, with honors. Her clinical rotations included the Veteran's Hospital of West Los Angeles and the Optometric Center of Los Angeles and Fullerton. Dr. Harootoonian also provides LASIK consultation and pre and post operative care for patients. She is fluent in Armenian and Farsi and can conduct an eye exam in Spanish. She resides in Burbank with her husband and son.



Dr. Nathan H. Au

Dr. Nathan Au is a DPA and TPA licensed optometrist. He is a board certified, DEA licensed eye care professional who excels in the diagnosis and treatment of various ocular pathologies. In addition, he has co-managed with numerous surgeons in LASIK. Dr. Au graduated with honors from Southern California College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Au has also completed a residency at the Veteran’s Affairs, Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center in ocular diseases and low vision. He also served as an optometric staff and clinical instructor at the Optometric Center of Los Angles during his residency. In 1998, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine with a major in biology.



Dr. Tiffany Ong

Dr. Tiffany Ong is a board certified optometrist with full accreditation, including DPA & TPA licensing. In addition, she is DEA licensed to prescribe medications for various ocular diseases. Dr. Ong received a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of California in Los Angeles and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Dr. Ong received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Her clinical rotations included Veteran’s Hospital of West Los Angeles, Optometric Center of Los Angeles, Veterans Hospital Ambulatory Care Clinic of Los Angeles, Eye Care Clinic in Fullerton, and the Laser Center in Newport Beach. Dr. Ong is also a member of the South Bay Optometric Society, the California Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, and the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Ong is dedicated to providing personal, attentive, and quality care to patients of all ages. Dr. Ong currently lives with her husband Aaron in Torrance.



Dr. Jonathan M. Stein

Dr. Jonathan M. Stein is a board-certified optometrist with DPA, TPA, and DEA licenses to diagnose, treat, and manage ocular diseases. In addition to his role as a primary care optometrist, Dr. Stein also provides consultations for LASIK and other refractive surgeries. Dr. Stein graduated cum laude from Southern California College of Optometry. Prior to receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Stein practiced as an attorney for over seven years in San Francisco, California, specializing in Estate Planning, Probate and the creation of charitable foundations. He received his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law where he achieved Dean’s list and the American Jurisprudence Award. Dr. Stein graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society. Dr. Stein currently resides in Manhattan Beach with his wife and three children.



Dr. Theresa Sarno

Dr. Theresa Sarno is a board-certified optometrist with a DPA, TPA, and DEA license to diagnose, treat, and manage ocular diseases. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. Her clinical rotations included the Eye Foundation of Utah, Camp Pendleton Navy Hospital, Veteran’s Hospital of West Los Angeles, and the Eye Care Clinic in Fullerton. Dr. Sarno is a member of the South Bay Optometric Society, the California Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
